PALO ALTO – A Caltrain hit an unoccupied automobile Tuesday afternoon in south Palo Alto, in accordance with the commuter rail line.
No accidents had been reported, Caltrain spokesperson Randol White stated.
The collision occurred round 3:10 p.m. on the Charleston Highway crossing, White stated.
The automobile was now not on the tracks as of three:45 p.m., he stated. Caltrain obtained clearance to run trains by way of the realm at diminished speeds of 15 mph.
The Charleston Highway crossing was closed for an investigation following the collision, in accordance with the Palo Alto Police Division. It was reopened by 4:20 p.m.
