HAYWARD — A driver was killed Sunday morning in a multi-vehicle hit-and-run collision in Hayward.

The person was recognized by the coroner’s workplace Monday as Deo Prasad, 72,  of Union Metropolis.

The driving force of one of many three automobiles concerned, who fled the scene, was nonetheless being sought Monday.

The collision occurred about 12:47 a.m. Sunday within the 27000 block of Huntwood Avenue.

When police responded to the scene they discovered two automobiles, two drivers and a passenger.

Prasad was the driving force of one of many automobiles. He was pronounced useless on the scene.

A passenger in his car was unhurt and was cooperating with investigators, police mentioned.

The driving force and sole occupant of the opposite car was not injured. That driver was cooperating with investigators.

The driving force of the third car left the scene earlier than police arrived. The car was discovered unoccupied a brief distance from the crash web site.
