A driver was killed Tuesday evening in a solo crash close to Soquel, the California Freeway Patrol stated.
The crash was reported at 7:49 p.m. on Soquel San Jose Highway south of Los Robles Highway, close to the Seventh-Day Adventist Convention Middle.
A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was northbound on the two-lane highway veered off the roadway, hit a raised curb, then overturned and hit a chain-link fence.
The motive force, a 62-year-old man, died on the scene. His identify has not been launched.
The highway was reopened round 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. The reason for the crash stays beneath investigation by the CHP.
