
A 40-year-old girl was arrested after being accused of setting a Goal retailer on hearth in Buena Park to divert consideration from her stealing child system, authorities stated.
She was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 14, per week after a blaze erupted in a garments rack within the kids’s division, prompting staff and clients to evacuate.
The hearth result in the Goal, at 7530 Orangethorpe Ave., to quickly closed.
In keeping with police, the injury to the shop was estimated at $500,000 to $1 million, primarily due to water and smoke injury.
No accidents have been reported.
Orange County Fireplace Authority arson investigators and Buena Park police performed a joint investigation. It was unclear how authorities discovered the suspect.
