LOS ANGELES — California’s lieutenant governor and different elected officers on Tuesday urged Taylor Swift to postpone her Los Angeles concert events as a strategy to stand in solidarity with hanging resort employees.

Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis and dozens of state and native politicians signed an open letter telling Swift that her tour makes the area’s motels cash, with some properties “doubling and tripling what they cost since you are coming.”

In the meantime, the letter stated, many housekeepers and different resort employees can’t afford to stay near their jobs and a few sleep of their automobiles and threat shedding their properties.

“Lodge employees are combating for his or her lives. They’re combating for a dwelling wage. They’ve gone on strike. Now, they’re asking to your help,” they wrote. “Stand with resort employees and postpone your concert events.”
