(CNN) — A nine-months pregnant girl and her 8-year-old son have been stopped by police in Sacramento, California, and held at gunpoint in what the division calls “a case of mistaken identification.”

Shanice Stewart was driving her 8-year-old son to soccer observe final Tuesday when officers initiated what they known as a “high-risk” site visitors cease.
