
MARTINEZ — Two highschool college students have been significantly injured and an individual was arrested on suspicion of driving below the affect following a one-car crash early Sunday, in line with police.
Police mentioned they arrested the 18-year-old driver about 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning within the 3400 block of Vista Oaks Drive after he fled the scene of the wreck on Pine Avenue. Police mentioned he was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run leading to loss of life or harm, DUI inflicting bodily harm, and driving with a blood-alcohol degree of .08 or higher.
In accordance with police, the crash occurred about 12:15 a.m. when the motive force of the grey automotive went off Pine Avenue and hit a tree. Police mentioned not less than one individual was seen working away from the crash. They mentioned they later decided the motive force fled.
The 2 passengers within the car each have been anticipated to outlive. One remained within the hospital Thursday.
